Shipping & Delivery Policy

At Blooms & Gifts Etcetera, we are committed to delivering your flowers, gifts, and décor items with care, professionalism, and efficiency. Please read our Shipping & Delivery Policy carefully before placing an order.


1. Delivery Areas

We currently deliver to selected areas within South Africa.

Delivery availability may vary depending on:

  • Recipient location
  • Product type
  • Delivery date requested
  • Courier or driver availability

If a delivery location falls outside our standard delivery zones, additional delivery fees may apply or the order may be declined.


2. Delivery Timeframes

Same-Day Delivery

Same-day delivery may be available for eligible orders placed before the daily cut-off time displayed on our website.

Same-day delivery is:

  • Subject to product availability
  • Subject to driver availability
  • Not guaranteed during peak periods, public holidays, or high-volume occasions

Scheduled Deliveries

Customers may select a preferred delivery date where available.

While we aim to accommodate preferred delivery times, exact delivery times cannot always be guaranteed unless expressly agreed in writing.


3. Delivery Hours

Standard deliveries are generally made:

  • Monday to Saturday
  • During normal business hours

Limited deliveries may be available on Sundays and public holidays depending on demand and availability.


4. Delivery Fees

Delivery fees are calculated at checkout based on:

  • Delivery location
  • Order size
  • Delivery urgency
  • Special handling requirements

Delivery fees are non-refundable once delivery processing has commenced.


5. Recipient Availability

Customers are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The recipient is available at the delivery address
  • Accurate contact details are provided
  • Delivery instructions are correct and complete

If the recipient is unavailable:

  • The order may be left with reception, security, a neighbour, or another responsible person where appropriate
  • Our driver may attempt to contact the recipient
  • Re-delivery fees may apply if another delivery attempt is required

We reserve the right to determine whether it is safe and reasonable to leave an order unattended.


6. Incorrect Delivery Information

We are not responsible for delays, failed deliveries, or additional costs arising from:

  • Incorrect addresses
  • Incomplete addresses
  • Incorrect phone numbers
  • Recipient relocation
  • Restricted-access premises

Customers may be charged additional fees for re-delivery or address corrections after dispatch.


7. Perishable Products

Flowers and certain products are perishable and should be attended to promptly upon delivery.

Once delivered:

  • Responsibility for product care passes to the recipient or customer
  • We are not liable for deterioration caused by delayed collection, environmental exposure, improper care, or handling after delivery

Customers must report any delivery-related concerns within 24 hours of delivery.


8. Product Substitutions

Due to seasonal and supplier availability:

  • Certain flowers, colours, containers, or gift items may occasionally need to be substituted
  • Any substitutions will be of equal or greater value while maintaining the overall style and quality of the arrangement

9. Delays Beyond Our Control

We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Severe weather
  • Traffic conditions
  • Power outages
  • Civil unrest
  • Vehicle breakdowns
  • Supplier shortages
  • Public holidays or peak seasonal demand

In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate delays and complete delivery as soon as possible.


10. Order Tracking & Communication

Where applicable, customers may receive delivery updates via:

  • Email
  • SMS
  • WhatsApp
  • Phone call

It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate communication details.


11. Refused Deliveries

If a recipient refuses delivery:

  • The order will be considered fulfilled
  • Refunds may not be issued for perishable products
  • Additional collection or re-delivery charges may apply
